One more night in Beijing.
"I took the stars from your eyes and then i made a map, and somehow i knew i could make my way back."
Cosmic Love by Florence & the Machine
& so here I am, back in the city of Beijing after a week. It's really dark outside and I refuse to believe it's only 6:26pm.
Went sightseeing in the morning starting with the Forbidden City. Putting aside the history and all which we knew nuts about, it was just interesting to see the palace with my own eyes rather then just seeing it in shows like huan zhu ge ge. LOLOL.
Heading to Sun Dong An Plaza nearby where we just walked the streets and explored into a 食街! A feast for the tummy which was deprived of breakfast! Came across live scorpions, dragon beard candy, huge grilled sotongs, quail eggs, egg rolls, fried ice cream and tonnes more... Forgot to eat my cream puffs on the way out though! And over here in china, translate directly "toufu brains" to mandarin, that's whut they call the Beancurd here. & bought a studded cap which I totally dig la! Happy! :)
Headed to the nearby mall to grab some food for dins and then to the last stop of the day! The Beijing Olympic 2008 Bird Nest! Shall pay a visit inside the stadium one day... & we walked back to our hotel which was just a stone's throw away...
Pictures may be random here and there but I'll just upload to document all the sights spotted!
On a side note, caught a bit of The Voice 3 just now and I love that dude's voice in team Adam Levine. Bryan or something. Aight, shall head back to lalaland in a bit to catch some sleep. Midnight flight back! Fighting!
P/S. can't wait to be home to you.

Some nights.
"and in these moods she wrote, she wrote because there existed a tiny voice inside, screaming and threatening, hoping and wondering. she was forever dreaming and it was getting in the way of her reality."
Got back in the morning yesterday and I spent most of the afternoon sleeping. Woke up still feeling sleepy but I just couldn't stand the thought of staying home and wasting my off day away. Made plans for dins and off I was to pick the girlfriends up for Lelepot. Heard them raving about the steamboat and finally got the chance to try it. From sbw to taiseng to pass town and then to tiong bahru. I don't know where I found the balls to drive so far yesternight since I'm sucha scaredy cat driver.
Finally got to the eating and now I know why they love the steamboat so much. Ingredients are fresh, soup base is yummy (we had the laksa base) and God, I love the mini buns with condensed milk and the dory fish :D recommend ze place!
Funny thing when we were almost done eating, we mentioned about the tearing of coupons for my car and realised we tore 1 hour in advance. We actually reached at 745 and we tore at 9 if you get whut I mean. Thank God no summon personnel came over to write me in.
Went back to hometown to pick the pea up, then to thomson to drop lingerie a visit before heading for supper at Mezzanotte. Waffles! Then we went exploring in an estate in yck before sending them back one by one. Talked in the car w baby till 1ish in the morning and headed home. Ran down all the way from the multi story carpark hahaha and end of story. So happy to see my babygirls even though it's just a short meet up. :)
I shall prepare myself some lunch right now. *waves*

It's so chilly!
So here I am at Sofitel Wanda on my comfy bed where we put up for the night. Been here in the city of Beijing since we touched down around 3ish in the afternoon yesterday & the hotel's kinda a beauty I must say.
Visited the silk market yesterday. Nothing much really and I just managed to get some barangs here and there but I'm glad I've been blessed w lovely people w me throughout this entire round.
An interesting experience was sitting in a motorized bike to the silk market yesternight. It's somewhat like a tuk tuk you'll see in Thailand but this bike's squarish, enclosed and costs 2bucks per person.
Thank God we made it on time to join two other crew for dins at a Chinese restaurant, Huajia Yiyuan, across our hotel where we had a super fulfilling dinner. Most of the pics I took of the food don't do justice to them but trust me, they were fab. I loved it! Moreover, weren't we in PEK so we couldn't have missed out on the "main character" which was our PEKING DUCK! I swear I was smiling from ear to ear and was fantasising when I could eat it again. *drools*
Got up pretty early today. 6ish in the morning. Was watching the videos of my batchmates in my phone and it really made my day. Ha ha... Shall end here. Praying for a smooth flight back to hometown xx
& till I see you again next week, Beijing.
